Position Summary:
The Campus Pastor supports and advances the University’s mission by facilitating the personal and spiritual development of students, staff, and faculty. By demonstrating visionary and progressive pastoral leadership, the Campus Pastor provides comprehensive coordination of all campus activities that relate to worship, spiritual formation and growth, and Christian service. The Campus Pastor reports directly to the Vice President of Campus Life and Student Affairs.
Essential Functions:
1. Serve as pastoral resource and facilitator of a vibrant spiritual life program for the residential campus community
2. Sustain a meaningful weekly chapel program that includes a variety of worship styles and leadership reflecting the diverse nature of campus and community
3. Provide guidance, organization, vision, and example for developing servant leaders through mission, outreach, stewardship, and service focused activities
4. Participate actively on campus and in the community
5. Serve on the planning and coordination committees
6. Collaborates on the planning of campus wide events

1. Performs other related duties as assigned.
2. Participates in campus activities.
Education, experience, & skills required:
1. Record of significant professional responsibilities, preferably in a position of senior pastoral leadership.
2. Effective written and oral communication and management skills.
3. The ability to embrace change, organize, and prioritize.
