Position Summary:

General expectations - report to the Director of Physical Plant to schedule housekeeping intended  to provide care, cleanliness, and regular cleaning of all USW buildings. Duties include all  necessary tasks to clean and maintain campus facilities cleanliness. The goal is to advance the  University’s mission evident in our upkeep and maintenance of our buildings. Applicants must  take a pre-employment physical including the ability to lift forty pounds overhead.

Essential Functions:
  1. Coordinate with the Director of Physical Plant or the Associate VP of Facilities to schedule  routine maintenance and respond to daily request from faculty, staff and students

  2. Maintain an established cleaning schedule of all facilities

  3. Maintain immediate entryways and glass doors to all buildings

  4. Reports any inappropriate use or destruction of University property immediately

  5. Any deviations from the regular schedule must be authorized by the Director of Physical Plant or Associate VP of Facilities

  6. Responsible for notifying Director of Physical Plan of any and all cleaning supplies and  equipment needed

  7. Clock in and out each day worked

Other responsibilities:
  1. Performs other related duties as assigned, such as, set up and clearing of special events

  2. Participates in campus activities

Education, experience, & skills required:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience

  2. Custodial and cleaning experience

  3. Demonstrated ability to work independently
